According to The Nations Health website there about roughly 400,000 teen births a year in the United States, with about 9 million in associated public costs. I can relate to this, because my 5-month old nephews parents are still teens themselves. When my nephew was born i was overjoyed that i got to witness this amazing but disqusting expience. However in the back of my mind i still couldn't understand how this child came to be with all the protection and contraception provided for teens today.I wanted to reseach this topic to incourage other teen girls my age not to be a statistic or make that number 401,000 teen births in America today.
